Oseam

Oseam (Hangul: 오세암) is an animation directed by Baek-yeob Seong and released in 2003. It is based on a novel by Korean author Jung Chae-bong, who has described it as being a fairytale for adults. The title means “Five years”.

Oseam has received a number of awards at film festivals around the world, such as the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival[1]. The film did poorly at the South Korean box office due to competition from Princess Mononoke, a Japanese animation directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
