Oscar Moro

Oscar Moro (Rosario, 24 January 1948 - Buenos Aires, 11 July 2006) was an Argentine musician.

In the late 1960s, Moro was the drummer of pioneer Argentine rock and roll band Los Gatos, who sang in Spanish (quite unusual at the time for rock bands) and achieved wide renown, transcending their native Rosario.

In the early 1970s, Moro joined ex-Almendra guitarist Edelmiro Molinari in Color Humano. After that, he played professionally with León Gieco and others, exploring African rhythms with bassist 'Beto' Satragni.

In 1976, Moro joined Charly García (keyboard and vocals) in two bands: La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros, and then, starting in 1978, Serú Girán, the most popular Argentine rock band of their era, with David Lebón on guitar and Pedro Aznar on bass and vocals. In 1985, Moro joined Pappo's Riff metal band.

His last band was called Revólver; Moro was already in bad health due to an ulcer, which allegedly deteriorated and caused his death.
