Oscar Galíndez

Óscar Galíndez (born May 6, 1971 in Río Tercero, Córdoba, Argentina) is a triathlete. He competed at the first Olympic Triathlon, in the 2000 Summer Olympics, obtaining the twenty-eighth place with a total time of 1:50:59.48.

Galíndez, began in triathlon when his was 16 year old. With physical and technical skills, he was able to reach great results very quickly, such as Hexa-championship "Trofeo Brasil" and Duathlon World Championship.

In 1995, Galíndez decided to move and live in Brazil, where the training and races conditions were better than in Argentina. Galíndez's privileged physical composition (5% fat and 54% muscle) makes his body an ideal instrument to obtain the best results. His high level of professionalism, and assisted by good professional, Galíndez soon reached an international level.

In 2000, Galíndez had a good performance at the Olympic games in Sydney. By the year 2001 he started his preparation for long distance races, as Ironman, also is seeking to the Pan-American, 2003 and Olympic games in Athens, 2004.

He obtained many competitions, including the Argentine triathlon (10 times), Brazilian triathlon (7 times), Pan American bronce medal in 1995 and 2003, and Duathlon World Championship in 1995.
