Osamu Adachi (足立理 Adachi Osamu?) is a Japanese actor and singer. He is known most notably for his role as Eiji Kikumaru in The Prince of Tennis movie and The Prince of Tennis musicals. He is a former member of the young men's acting troupe, D-Boys.

Osamu Adachi has starred in a various number of tv shows and has appeared in GLAY's "White Road" (2005) music video.
Adachi was also apart of the Watanabe net drama, Hice Cool (2005), appearing alongside fellow D-Boys members, Kotaro Yanagi, Yuya Endo, and Yuu Shirota.
[edit] With the D-Boys
In October 2004, Adachi joined the Watanabe Entertainment group named the D-BOYS; however, by the end of January 2007, it was announced to fan club members that while Adachi was still being represented by Watanabe Pro, both he and Yuma Minakawa had officially withdrew from the group.
When Adachi was still a member of the D-Boys, he had kept a blog, which he had updated occasionally. While being a part of the D-Boys, Adachi was provided with a lot of opportunities. Among them was to perform with the group of boys and expand his experience as a performer.
The D-Boys had released two Photobooks. The first photobook, self-titled D-Boys, was released on April 27, 2005, while the second, released on March 15th, 2006 was called Start, both which contained many photos of Adachi.
The D-Boys also starred in their own drama documentary variety series called, DD-Boys[1] in which Adachi had appeared in a few episodes as himself. The show was 24 episodes long and ran from April 10th to September 25th, 2006.
[edit] As Eiji Kikumaru in The Prince of Tennis Musicals
Adachi won the role of Eiji Kikumaru, the acrobatic 3rd year regular of Seigaku Middle School's tennis club. And from 2005 to 2006, he became the third actor to play Eiji in the The Prince of Tennis Musicals. He made his debut as Eiji on January 8th, 2005 in the Winter 2004-2005 Side Yamabuki performance in Osaka. That same year, his role as Eiji was carried into the live adaptation film of the anime/manga. During his run in the musicals, he was able to work with D-Boys members, Yuya Endo, Kotaro Yanagi, Yuu Shirota, Masaki Kaji, Hiroki Suzuki, Hirofumi Araki, and Masato Wada.
He performed, as Eiji, in the following shows:
- Tenimyu in Winter: Side Yamabuki - Featuring St Rudolph
- Dream Live 2nd: Second Live concert
- Imperial Match Hyotei
- Hyoutei in Winter
- Dream Live 3rd: Third Live concert
On March 29th, 2006, in the Dream Live 3rd Live concert, he along with the majority of the Seigaku cast, graduated from their roles.
[edit] As Eiji Kikumaru in The Prince of Tennis Live-Action Film
Adachi was able to carry on his role as Eiji Kikumaru from the musicals to the live-adaptation film of the anime/manga series, The Prince of Tennis. He, along with most of the principle cast members for the Seigaku Regulars, were able to reprise their roles in the movie. The only major casting change was the casting of Kanata Hongo as Ryoma Echizen, the main protagonist.
The Prince of Tennis was released on May 13th, 2006 and opened on the tenth spot in the Japanese Box Office.
[edit] As Akira Sakamoto in Princess Princess D Live-Action Drama
Adachi stars as Akira Sakamoto in the live action TV drama based on the anime/manga Princess Princess series entitled, Princess Princess D[2], which premiered in Japan on June 28th, 2006.

Adachi keeps a blog on his D-Boys webpage, which he updates occasionally. In his blog entries he likes to call himself "O-chan" and keeps his fans updated on what he likes to read and his current projects. He is also close friends with fellow D-Boys members Hirofumi Araki, Hiroki Suzuki and Masaki Kaji.
