Orval Nease

Orval J. Nease (1891-1950) was a minister and general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene. He was the son of William Oscar Nease, an evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene, brother of Floyd W. Nease, president of Eastern Nazarene College, and uncle of Stephen Wesley Nease, president of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Southern Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Eastern Nazarene College. Has the distinction of being the only member of the Board of General Superintendents ever removed. He was also re-instated.
He was pastor of the First Churches of the Nazarene in Malden, MA, Columbus, OH and Detroit, MI. He was president of Pasadena College (now Point Loma Nazarene University).
Born in Nashville, Michigan (December 25, 1891) and died November 7, 1950. Dr. Nease, born in Nashville, Michigan, served the church as pastor, evangelist, college president, executive secretary of the Department of Church Schools, adn two terms as general superintendent.
