Orugallu

Orugallu is currently Warangal and is a district in Andhra Pradesh, India. Orugallu used to be capital for Kakatiya dynasty. The Kakatiya dynasty was a south Indian dynasty that ruled parts of what is now Andhra Pradesh from 1083-1323 AD. Renowned rulers in Kakatiya dynasty include Ganapathi Raju, Rudrama Devi and Pratapa Rudra. Subsequently Alauddin Khilji conquered and ruled. Orugallu is also sometimes referred as Ekasila Nagaram (there are large monoliths in this area).
