Orquesta típica
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Orquesta típica (or tango orchestra) is an orchestra or chamber group that traditionally plays Argentine tango music.
An orquesta típica typically includes a string section (with violins, viola, and cello), a bandoneón section (with 3 or more bandoneons), and a rhythmic section (with piano, and double bass). An orquesta típica is an expanded version of a Sexteto Tipico, which includes 2 bandoneons, 2 violins, double bass, and piano.
In 2006 a film was made of it.
