Wikipedia:Orphan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- See also: Wikipedia:Orphaned Articles
In the Wikipedia:Glossary, an orphan is defined as "A page with no links from other pages." These can still be found by searching the Wikipedia, but it is preferable that they also be reachable by links from related pages; it is therefore helpful to deorphan a page by adding links from other suitable pages.
There may be other ways to define the term orphan (in a Wiki context), or other related terms. This section offers various such definitions.
- An Orphaned article could be defined as an article that is not linked to from some other article. Links from disambiguation pages and redirection pages don't count (though a link from one article to another via a redirection page would count).
- An Isolated article could be defined as an article that cannot be reached via a series of links from the Main page.
