The Orpheus Mining Colony was an important mining colony on Earth's Moon in the 22nd Century in the fictional world of Star Trek. It was operated by Terra Prime leader John Frederick Paxton who had inherited it from his father. Unknown to Earth's authorities, the main part of the mining station was actually a low warp vessel. Paxton launched it in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Demons". After landing the station on Mars, Paxton ordered the destruction of the remainder of the colony on the Moon, as a demonstration of his station's power.
