ORP Ślązak

The ORP ślązak (Silesian) was a British Hunt-class destroyer escort, formerly named the HMS Bedale. It was lain down on May 25, 1940 and launched on July 23, 1941. It was commissioned to the Polish Navy on April 17, 1942.

ORP Ślązak had a displacement of 1050 tons, and 1490 tons when fully armed. It was 85 m in length, had a beam of 9.5 m, a draft if 2.4 meters. Its maximum speed was 27 knots, a complement was 160 and had a propulsion of Steam turbine engines with 19000 horse power.
