Ornithophobia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ornithophobia is a type of specific phobia, an abnormal, irrational fear of birds.

[edit] In popular culture

Alfred Hitchcock's horror film The Birds is an epitome of this kind of fear, but the fear is rational because the birds involved are attacking humans in the film.

The character Randy Hickey on the American television series My Name Is Earl suffers from ornithophobia.
