Ornata (elm cultivar)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European White Elm U. laevis cultivar Ornata was erroneously identified by Carriere as U. communis (: glabra) ornata in Revue Hort. 554, 1858. Two of the trees, growing at Toulouse, were reported by Mlle. Y. de Ferre, to be still alive in 1964, and were noted for their resistance to insect attack.
