Orio al Serio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 km northeast of Milan and about 4 km southeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,671 and an area of 3.0 km2.[1]
Orio al Serio borders the following municipalities: Azzano San Paolo, Bergamo, Grassobbio, Seriate, Zanica.
Orio al Serio International Airport is located in the town.
In Orio there is also Orio Center one of the largest shopping malls in Europe.
