Orillia Park Street Collegiate

Park Street Collegiate is a secondary school located in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1961 to help with the over flow of students form cross town rival Orilla District Collegiate Vocational Instutue. It currently holds just over 900 student and continues to grow every year.

Park Street has a number of feeder schools that make up a majority of the student population. These schools include:

  • Coldwater Public School
  • East Oro Public School
  • Guthery Elementary
  • Orchard Park
  • Mount Slaven
  • Warminster Public School

The Current Clubs at Park are various with over half the population either in a sport or club.

Clubs:

SAC - Students' Administrative Council is in charge of dances, Winter Carnival, Hallowe'en and Christmas activities, Staff-Grad Baseball, Semi-formal and Formal and the Grad Luncheon.

PAC - Park Athletic Council is in charge of all sport-related activities, including organizing support officials for games, running buy-ins and selling school spirit clothes.

Park Power- Raises school spirit and awareness of event taking place in the school.

Chess Club-Kids meet and learn and play the game of chess during lunch. Go to regular tournaments every year.

Cabaret-School's musical which is a hit at the local opera house year after year.

Social Issues-Raise awareness about happenings around the world.

Gay Straight Alliance-A unique club meant to break down the walls of heterosexuals and homosexuals in the student population.
