Originasian Pictures

Originasian Pictures is content producer for films and television programmes base in Singapore. It is also strategically placed as a film marketing and promotions entity. Formally established in 2006 by the award-winning team of photo artist Nicholas Chee and creative director Randy Ang.
The first feature film by Originasian Pictures Becoming Royston gained cult status with its comprehensive online web marketing strategy and promotions as reported by Variety Magazine. Becoming Royston was one of the first feature films in South Asia to be shot completely tape-less on High-Definition. The film was in the main competition of the TORUN Film Festival in Poland, official selection in the Jakarta Film Festival and received three nominations for Best Script, Best Cinematography and Best Male Lead Actor (Alvin Neo) in the 2006 Asian Festival of First Films.
In November 2006, Originasian Pictures produced and created three public service short films for the Design Singapore Council. “Foodcourt” directed by Boi Kwong, “Stuck!” directed by Randy Ang and “Colourblind” directed by Nicholas Chee. These short films aimed at engaging the public to be more design conscious and play a part in determining 10 touch-point items to be re-designed in Singapore.
Originasian Pictures initiated the launch of Sinema.sg, a website dedicated as an online showcase and resource for Singapore Cinema.
Originasian Pictures is current working its second and third full-length feature in 2007.
