Original 21

Original 21 is the largest and most dedicated AEK Athens FC supporters club. The first attempt to organise AEK supporters was Gate 21 (formed in 1975), which took its name from the gate in the Nikos Goumas Stadium, Nea Filadelfia, where the most hardcore fans gathered. Dissilusioned from the direction Gate 21 was following, a handful of supporters broke away in 1982 and created their own club, naming it Original (Gate) 21. United by their determination to follow AEK everywhere and to maintain a family feel within their organisation they have succeeded in becoming a legendary fan club in the Greek and European supporters world. Their headquarters in the centre of Athens (walking distance from the football ground of their great rivals Panathinaikos FC) have been purchased by the fans using their own funds and today form the centre of a world-wide organisation with supporters clubs all over Greece and Cyprus as well as Europe, the USA and Australia (Original 21 Melbourne Club).
