Reply: MCR Dead! single response

Hey, sorry I took so long to respond to your question, but the reason I put Dead! as the second single off of the Black Parade was because there was for a short time an alternate page for Dead! on wikipedia then the one that's there now. On that page it said that Dead! was the second single, and listed a source where Gerard confirmed it to back it up. However, since that page was deleted and I don't remember what the source was, I just put that Dead! was the tentative second single. I've looked all over and I can't find anywhere where it's been confirmed as the second single either, but I just thought I'd put it as the second single, because of that pagewhere it listed a source saying it was. I don't mind that it's deleted, but I did see a citation for it, I just couldn't remember it. WIKI-GUY-16 4:20, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

FLCL

As a userbox fan of FLCL, would you be willing to vote for its nomination at Wikipedia's Article Improvement Drive? If elected, it will be the subject of a week-long overhaul, in an attempt to pass in to Featured Article status! Thanks, Litefantastic 17:23, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

IRC

Hey, if you're there, could you go on the WPTC's IRC? Just go to http://www.ircatwork.com/ and type in a nickname (your username would be good), then type in "#wiki-hurricanes" in the box that says channel next to it. Hope to see you there; I'm really bored. íslenska hurikein #12 (samtal) 01:09, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: A Couple Questions

I have seen you around and I have the American Idiot userbox you created. I was wondering how you got obtained the code {User American Idiot}. I have recently created my own userbox and would like to get a code like that but am not sure if I have to get a template page or what. Also, you have Top 10 Websites on your User page. Are we allowed to have those on there since that could be considered advertisement? I would add one too, but I am not sure if it violates the rules (my page needs a major revamp). Orfen 22:41, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it's pretty easy. Once you have the code for your userbox, copy it, and type in whatever you want the userbox to be called (Ex:For my American Idiot userbox, I typed in the URL box (http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_American_Idiot) Let's say your userbox is called Computer Geek, or something. YOu'd type into the URL box(http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_Computer_Geek) It'll say (wikipedia doens't have a page called (http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_Computer_Geek), below it it'll say 'Create the (http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:User_Computer_Geek) page. Click on it, and then paste your userbox code, and then when ever you use the "{{ }}" brackets around the userbox name. {{User:UBX/American Idiot}} will look like the template code you type in to get the desired effect. Is that clear?
Green Day This user is an American Idiot.

Also, I wouldn't count having a Top Ten Websites box as advertising, since people have, like, "Favorite Bands, "Movies, so why not Sites? Scrumshus 01:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Revamp

Also, if you want a revamp of your userpage, I'll gladly do it for you. Just browse some users and find your favorite userpage. Tell me, and I'll implement your userpage stuff into the other's user's userpage and you'll have a brand new userpage! Scrumshus 01:36, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes

Hi I moved your userboxes Orfen/Userboxes to User:Orfen/Userboxes, as the article space isn't the correct place.--Andeh 08:30, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Reply: My Chemical Romance

I didn't know if I should reply on my talk page or yours, but I apologize for any inconvenience on the My Chemical Romance talk page. One thing, though. I'm not quite sure what you mean by deleting other users comments. You could be talking about another page, but whatever the case, I apologize for that, too. Again, sorry for any inconvenience and good luck on future contributions.

P.S. - Any kind of reply can be left on your talk page. I'll have it on my watchlist for a while. Thanks! Sasuke-kun27 23:09, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually I apologize for this edit since vandalism can be deleted, but this is the edit in question I was refering to earlier. [1]  Orfen User Talk 23:55, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Regarding edits made to User_talk:141.209.236.224

Removing outdated and unresourceful material from an article's talk page is not vandalism, nor is it removing content from Wikipedia. It has never and will never be considered vandalism by the Wiki's rules. -141.209.236.224

I agree with you, because of the mystery surrounding the title initially it "is" information that is interesting to keep at the least. -141.209.236.224

About your signature

I was wondering how you get "~~~~" to appear as  Scrumshus Talk to me→.

Whenever I put in the code of User:Scrumshus/Sig, my signature comes out as the code. How do I get  Scrumshus Talk to me→ to be my signature like you did?  Scrumshus Talk to me

Interesting

This is mostly irrelevant, but I thought you might find it interesting. Check out what I found: Lights Out (Son Of Dork album) and Next (Son Of Dork song). Look at the creator and the top editor. I googled and it turns out that these guys have a myspace [2] with no information. Their website is currently down for revamping[3], which does typically mean another album is coming. The only other information I found was on last.fm, which can be edited just like wikipedia [4]. It seems like the last edit was on the 6th of November, whereas these articles I linked to you from wikipedia were edited the 8th. Do you happen to know anything about the band or where these releases might be coming from other than speculation? I think our friend just might be on a rumour kick.--Jude 04:14, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

I agree. I'm fairly sure the account is just for fun. As much as the information could be true, it seems too much of a coincidence that the two subjects from the articles seem to have been fabricated in the same way.--Jude 04:40, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Project On Emo Music

Heya! I've noticed you participated in the discussion on

This article is part of WikiProject Emo Music,
a WikiProject developed to create high-quality articles about Emo music. If you wish to participate, feel free to edit this page or come to the project page to take part in the discussion.

, I wonder if you'd be interested in joining the project and helping to develop it further. I've only recently started with wiki and I'm not 100% sure how the thing work on here hence I've missed your contribution (because it took place aside from the front page I usually check). The way I thought the discussion would happen - the band's music would be analyzed according to the list of factors which really do refer to Emo music, listed Template:Wikiproject Emo music//Positive Factors , and according to this the conclusion could be drawn whether a band is related to Emo genre or not. I planned on doing this with The Used page, but to be blantly honest my computer died about 2 weeks ago and I just physically couldn't get down to work. I'd appreciate any help you could offer. Iceness 09:38, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Chart trajectories

Part of the page's proposal was to not include chart trajectories, as they fall under indiscriminate collections of information. It passed with an 11-3 consensus. If you disagree with the WikiProjects's decision, you should bring it up again on the discuss page WP:SONG. — ShadowHalo 00:34, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

WP:MMO Templates

Hi Orfen!

I guess I should have posted this in advance but for WP:MMO I had already made a banner some time ago and posted it on a couple dozen talk pages: Template:WP_MMOG. Would you please tell me which talk pages so I can convert them.

Thanks,

In response to your reply, it's fine. Like I said, I forgot to post it on WP:MMO. Also, I am in the process of designing a userbox for the project. This will be my first userbox that I created myself. Greeves 19:25, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Re:Sora (Kingdom Hearts)

I think Sora's age is 14. Was it wrong? See, I asked Sasuke-kun27, and he told me that Sora is indeed 14. In fact, that answer is on my talk page, under "Damn 3RR..." So, check there on my talk page to see his answer. I'm pretty sure he knows the game. --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 05:27, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Ah! When you click edit this page, take a glance at age. In a hidden message, it says, "DO NOT ADD KHII'S AGE! Kingdom Hearts 2, if that looks unintelligible. So, I guess we leave it at 14, not 15, because that was his age in KH 2. Thanks! --Tohru Honda13Sign here! 05:37, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: Green Day images

Do you mean adding fair use rationales? Cuz i can do that. There already is one on Image:Lookoutgd.jpg. The Infobox image doesn't need one, and neither does the image of Green Day live in Germany, because those are licensed under GDFL. I will add fair use rationales to the American Idiot album cover and We're a happy family. And also, i'll work in that discography. u really think it'll work? thanx,  scrumshus Talk to me 22:29, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

WP:MMO/GL

Hi again Orfen! As you are the only other main contributer to [[WP:MMO] I thought you should know about a new sub-page of the project. WP:MMO/GL is our new guidelines page. I have already started working on the game article guidelines. If you could help check over what I have already written and contribute if possible (to both the game article guidelines and the character article guidelines) that would be great! Thanks! Greeves 20:28, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

imprtant scales, etc.

Like all other WikiProjects, shouldn't the Green Day one have an asessment scale (for the quality of the article) and importance scale (too measure the articles based on their importance to the project)? It would be a good idea to give us an idea on which articls to edit more heavily than others, although all articles should be edited to the most of thier extent.  scrumshus Talk to me 04:23, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

The Black Parade album assessment

You recently assessed The Black Parade article as a B-class article. I would like to know what can be to further increase the quality and help it become a good article. If you could leave me a line on my talk page giving some suggestions that would be great. Thank you!  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 07:51, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

I rated the article B because of a couple of items. First, there were a couple of unsourced items. In order to have an increase in rating, all items need to be sourced. *major* Second, it would be helpful to have criticism on the album as well as praise, and I did not see any item relating to that. (expand on this point and define "a few bad ratings" and "many" by giving examples of who actually commented [critic/magazine]) Third, the flags were nice as well as the ratings. You could do a YouTube search on the artist's music videos. Fourth, (optional) a link to the band's site as well as possible tour dates. Hope this helps! Bearly541 10:24, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Can you request someone else to look over the article, because I look over copy edit mostly. Thanks Bearly541 22:59, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
To be balanced, the sections regarding the praise and criticism should be more equal. You have most of the section as glowing terms (and even the section before it is a little glow-y) and there's 2 sentences that say bad things. It's hard to write bad about something you like, I know. Length isn't the only issue, as the criticism is weak and almost presented like "it's not serious" criticism, which is most certainly is. Expand and quote more on what the people said bad about it. That's about the best I can help you with. I hope it helps. --MECUtalk 22:17, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

WP:ADOPT

Hi there,

As a current Adopter with the Adopt-a-User program there has been some ongoing developments that we would like to bring to your attention.

A new Adopter's Area has been created where you can find useful resources and other Adopter's experiences. Please feel free to add any resources you may have found useful as an Adopter, as well as recount any experiences that you think may help others. If you know of any useful resources for new users / Adoptees then you can add them here.

Also the way the adoption process works has changed slightly. To decrease workload at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user, on offering adoption please change the {{Adoptme}} template to {{Adoptoffer}} on the user's user page, and this will add the user to Category:Wikipedians having been offered adoption. Users that have already been offered adoption can always have a second or third offer, but by separating out those users that have not had an adoption offer yet, it is hoped that no one will go lacking.

Furthermore numerous Adopters have been adding their details to a list of users available for adopting, to offer a more personalised service and allow new users to browse through and pick their own Adopter. The quickest way to adopt though, is still to contact users at the Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.

Finally - thanks for all your hard work, keep it up - and if you have any general questions or suggestions about the further development of Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User please bring them to our talk page. Cheers Lethaniol 13:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
