[edit] Reasons to Switch to Firefox
Well, if you have a reason(as seen on my IE page) to switch to Firefox, feel free to add it here. OreosTalkContribs 16:00, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My opinion...
I see why you like Firefox, but I like IE for several reasons.
- Size. I went into my program files and checked out the sizes of the two programs. IE is smaller. 5.89 MB for IE and 16.2 MB for Firefox.
- You can listen to MIDIs in IE without a plugin.
- IE can display all web pages - not all of them work in Firefox.
- Internet Explorer 6 supports Tabbed Browsing when used with the MSN Toolbar extension in Windows XP.
- Internet Explorer 7 includes Tabbed Browsing by default.
- http://www.ieaddons.com/default.aspx?cid=home&scid=0 IE has add-ons.
- http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html#winspeed IE 6 and 7 are faster than Firefox.

- How do you figure? Internet Explorer Components in Windows take up a total well over 20MB.
- There are a few, however there are pages Internet Explorer cannot display as well...
- I'll give that to you, though I rarely come across pages that use the dumb things anymore. I prefer to download music, thank you.
- That article is hugely out of date. All of the examples now work, or do not even exist.
- Tabbed browsing is a standard browser feature, though it was Firefox that largely made it popular.
- See Above
- Yes, all browsers have always had ways to add on to them. Firefox has the most extensibility still.
- Yes, the things it renders quicker are due partially to lack of all the elements to render from. :P Anyway, Firefox can be made to load pages much quicker, with settings that cannot be controlled from Internet Explorer.
