Ordinary Magic is a film about a boy who is raised in India by his Canadian father. The story is based on the novel Ganesh by Malcolm Bosse.

When his father dies, Ryan Reynolds is sent to live with his aunt in Canada. He then goes on a hunger strike to try to save his aunt's house from being demolished to make room for a ski resort.
