Orchestra 2001

Orchestra 2001 is an American orchestra based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is dedicated to the performance of contemporary classical music, and has presented 70 world premieres, 95 Philadelphia-area premieres, and 200 works by 115 American composers, of which more than 125 works were by 53 different Philadelphia-area composers.[1]

The orchestra was established in 1988 by James Freeman, the orchestra's artistic director and conductor.
