Orchesis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Orchesis is an annual event at Ohio Wesleyan University. It occurs at the end of the academic year, often scheduled for the Sunday before Commencement day and prior to the university's final exams week. The center of the event is choreography, created by Ohio Wesleyan University theatre and dance students.
[edit] Origins and evolution
The first event was in the 1980s. In the 1990s, the event evolved into its current form and current timing during the academic year. Since then, the event has turned into a parade of choreographic inspiration.
