Orchard is a village in Antelope County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 391 at the 2000 census.

Orchard is located at 42°20′10″N, 98°14′24″W (42.336036, -98.240091)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 391 people, 183 households, and 120 families residing in the village. The population density was 359.4/km² (937.1/mi²). There were 208 housing units at an average density of 191.2/km² (498.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 183 households out of which 20.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.4% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.4% were non-families. 32.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.14 and the average family size was 2.68.

In the village the population was spread out with 20.2% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 20.7% from 25 to 44, 29.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 47 years. For every 100 females there were 89.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.7 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $21,771, and the median income for a family was $29,063. Males had a median income of $27,813 versus $16,719 for females. The per capita income for the village was $13,075. About 11.7% of families and 16.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 20.3% of those under age 18 and 20.2% of those age 65 or over.

Orchard has one school, Orchard Public School. It is the home of the Orioles.
