[edit] Lawrence L. Larmore
I want to inform you that an article you created, Lawrence L. Larmore, has been nominated for deletion, by myself. See the article's deletion discussion page for more details. --Eliyak T·C 05:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Eliyak, I appreciate your message informing me about the possible deletion. I've read through the discussion. It seems both sides want more information about his research, including practicality. I'll work on adding some information this next week. Please let me know if there is anything particular that you would like me to do. Thanks. Oravec 15:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC) P.S. If you get a chance to read any of his articles, I think you'll be impressed.
- Oravec- In the past, individuals have abused Wikipedia by creating autobiographies in order to puff themselves up. I was concerned because there seemed to be some indications of that type of behavior in this case:
- The article was created by a single newly registered user, without collaboration from other, more established users.
- The areas Larmore works in did not previously have their own articles on Wikipedia, which seemed to indicate that these are not notable areas of research.
- Larmore does not seem to be referenced or linked in other Wikipedia articles.
- I meant no personal attack in nominating the article for deletion; I was simply acting out of the concerns expressed above. I trust the deletion discussion process will come to the proper conclusion in the matter. Your contributions to Wikipedia are, of course, appreciated, and I hope you will continue contributing to Wikipedia in whichever areas your interests lie. --Eliyak T·C 01:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Eliyak- Thank you for your concern. I can understand where you are coming from. I've been a reader of wikipedia for quite some time. The reason why I created an account was because I was amazed that no one had created the topics yet. Earlier, I thought by creating Larmore's site and links to the research topics that they would be filled in magically. Since your post, I've realized I needed to take a more active approach. I've actively work on updating information today. I am sure if you read through the information, that you'll find good content there. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve the content, I would greatly appreciate it. Oravec 03:49, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia works best when users sharing a common interest work together to flesh out topics. I see you've joined the Computer Science WikiProject. If this is an important topic, you might want to bring it up at that WikiProject's talk page as an area/article that needs work. Also, many WikiProjects have an "article of the week" or similar activities for under-attended articles. WikiProject Computer Science may have something along those lines. --Eliyak T·C 04:49, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Michael Baer
A tag has been placed on Michael Baer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - SpLoT / (talk) 15:31, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
