Orange bitters
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Orange bitters are a cocktail flavoring agent. Many cocktails traditionally contained orange bitters, but are presently excluded. Orange bitters are currently enjoying a resurgence among cocktail enthusiasts[citation needed]. For many years, it was difficult to find orange bitter in the United States. Fee Brothers has been producing them for many years, but distribution was limited. Mixologist Gary Regan began a new line of orange bitters in the late 1990s.
Orange bitters are typically made with some combination of Seville "sour" orange peel, cardamom, caraway, coriander, and sugar in an alcohol base.
