It is commonly found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia & Zimbabwe. The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
