The Optare CityPacer was a bus body produced by optare from 1985 to 1992. It was Optares first true product and was based on a VW van LT55 chassis. It was a successful bus in its time producing over 1000 buses.

Its prominent feature was its large one-piece front windscreen, it wrapped around the sides of the body.

This bus was later replaced by the Optare StarRider which was also a chassis-derived bus. Its styling was less successful and didn't last long. This was further replaced by the integral Optare MetroRider.
