[edit] Shot to Kill

  • Can this article flag up to readers the misnomer of 'shoot-to-kill'. If you shoot at someone then it is shooting to kill, no?
  • To the best of my knowlage, there is a differance between shot to kill and shoot to disable. I will do some research on it. The One00 19:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

If you want information or details of OPERATION KRATOS within MOD POLICE, I can help. But caution, as I will not give too many details. Its an interesting topic, which for us fire arms officers could be a career ending decision. It is not to be taken as a joke, and should be respected as a fatal mistake (like in London) should never be repeated.

[edit] SO19 and CO19

Not Sure about the so13 thing I am sure it was SO19 and is now CO19 but I have never edited a Wikipedia page and don't want to screw it up.

The anti terror branch of the Met. is SO13 The Firearms unit used to be called SO19, and now is called CO19. I have clarified it in the article. Feal free to edit wikipedia, Be Bold in Updating Pages The One00 19:04, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Can this be accurate?

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, many police agencies worldwide seriously considered for the first time the possibility of terrorist activities in their own home countries and cities

Terrorism was at its highest ever point during the 80s and 90s, by the start of the 21st century terrorism was on its decline. Im not sure if "many countries", particually the UK in question, had never considered terrorist activity within its own country before. Embassies spring to mind. Perhaps this line should be altered?
