Talk:OpenView Operations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello. This was my first attempt at a wiki edit, so please be gentle. I would appreciate any comments on how to make it better though. I hope to expand the article in the near future, including more information on capabilities, links to support information, both with HP and via user groups (like OVForum), as well as adding information about a number of the most common add-ons (SPIs), and their functionality. Plus, hope to put links in the proper places (a link back from here to NNM, link from VPO to here, link from ITO to here, etc.)
Also, after reading over the rules, wanted to make it plain that this is not part of an advertising campaign. I do not work for HP. I am an end user of HP Openview, saw that it was lacking an article, so figured I might as well give a shot at an initial writeup of the capabilities of the tool. I really hope that future edits can help people find as good information for this tool within Wikipedia as there are for some of the other major network monitoring platforms, like Tivoli.

Since my initial edit complained about lacking sources, I listed the two primary sources, HP's main Openview website, which contains all manuals for the product, as well as whitepapers, etc. and OVForum, one of the largest usergroups dedicated to the support of Openview products.
