Operator Please are an Australian indie rock band formed in 2005 as the winning entry to Elanora High School's annual Battle of the Bands competition, playing to a crowd of 15 people.
After posting several tracks on MySpace early in 2006, the band was flown to New York where they signed with Virgin Records/EMI (Australia and New Zealand) and Brille Records (UK).

Operator Please release debut EP JUST A SONG ABOUT PING PONG through Brille Records. Operator Please are Amandah (vocals/guitar), Sarah (piano), Timmy (drums), Ashley (bass) and Steph (violin). They are all school friends from Elanora High School on the Gold Coast in Australia who formed in early 2005. Since then this young band have received praise for their raw energy from across the Australian media, comparisons to groups like Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well as airplay on JJJ radio. Operator Please will be heading to these shores this summer and releasing a full length follow up to this EP around the same time. [1]
