Operation Greylord

Operation Greylord was an FBI investigation of judicial corruption in Cook County, Illinois, in the 1980s. Ninety-two people were indicted, including 17 judges, 48 lawyers, 8 policemen, 10 deputy sheriffs, 8 court officials, and 1 state legislator. Operation Greylord was named after the curly wigs worn by British judges.
