Operation Azul
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Operation Azul (blue) was the Argentine codename for the military landings on the Falkland Islands on 1 April 1982, that started the Falklands War. The operation was originally called Operation Rosario (Rosary) during the planning stages, but its name was changed to Azul (blue) after the colour of the Virgin Mary's robe.
