Open Source Developers' Conference

The Open Source Developers' Conference (OSDC) is a non-profit conference for developers of open source software. It was first held in Melbourne, Australia in 2004.

While the conference is open to open source software developed on for any platform or operating system, it largely focuses on software for Linux, generally written in Perl, Python and PHP, with streams focusing on these languages.

Past keynote speakers in Melbourne have included Damian Conway, Audrey Tang, Anthony Baxter (Python release manager), Luke Welling and Jon Oxer, Nathan Torkington (O'Reilly) and Richard Farnsworth (Australian Synchrotron).

The OSDC franchise has also spread to Israel, where conferences began in 2006.
