Open Conference Systems
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Open Conference Systems (OCS) is conference management software, designed to manage the entire conference organizing process, create a conference web site, review submissions, register attendees, and index and share the resulting proceedings. It is open source, released under the GNU General Public License.
OCS was created by the Public Knowledge Project, and has been used by over 100 scholarly conferences. A selected list is available on the PKP web site. OCS is currently in version 1.1.7, with version 2.0 set to be released in early 2007.
OCS is written in PHP, and uses either a MySQL or PostgreSQL database. It can be hosted on a web server with either Windows or a UNIX-like operating system.
Other open source conference management software includes: CDS Indico, ConfMan, ConfTool Pro, CyberChair, OpenConf, and Web Submission and Review Software.
