OpenCD
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The OpenCD project aims to introduce users of Microsoft Windows to the benefits of free and open source software (FOSS). It is a CD image that can freely be downloaded and copied. The OpenCD team screens programs for stability, quality, and ease of installation, and only distributes programs available under an OSI-approved open source license, which allows users to freely use and distribute the disc as they wish. It is sponsored by Canonical Ltd, which also sponsors the popular Linux distribution Ubuntu.
Since 2007 the age of any particular copy of OpenCD can be determined by the YY.MM version system. For example, v08.05 would mean the disc was created in May 2008.
