Flat races with an unrestricted upper age limit, for which both colts and fillies are eligible.

Note, however, that these races are not necessarily open to geldings. Virtually all races in North America that are open to colts and horses (intact males 5 years old and up) are also open to geldings, while most major races in Europe ban geldings.
