[edit] Copyright

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Bob Kerstein, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text borrowed from web sites. For more information, take a look at our policy library. Happy editing! --Xcali 02:26, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please do not copy information from commercial websites, as you did on Monte Crisio Gold Mine. I have deleted the article because it was copyrighted text. If you wish to summarize the information, feel free to do so, but please do not just copy it. --Spangineeres (háblame) 15:37, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I've recreated the article, and moved it to Monte Cristo Gold Mine. Have a good one! --Spangineeres (háblame) 15:37, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello,
This is from my website Scripophily.com.
Best Regards,
Bob —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ootsark (talkcontribs).

We have no proof that you are Bob Kerstein. If you are Bob Kerstein you should not be creating an article about youself here - see WP:AUTO and wait until someone else writes a bio about you.

Regarding Jacob Little (and possibly other copies from scipophily), the best way to prove permission is to cause a message to appear on the scripophily website (as discretely as you like) saying "Wikipedia has permission to use this material". Then place a link to that message on the talk page of every article copied. See wikipedia:confirmation of permission.

And if you want your articles to stick, you will not just do idle copy-and-pastes, you will turn the articles into proper Wikipedia articles - like wikifying and giving Jacob Little's dates! And always sign talk page entries with ~~~~. -- RHaworth 05:59, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

The Jacob Little page may be from your website, but the text on your website is copied directly from the book "Toward Rational Exuberance" by B. Mark Smith. See [1]. That's why the copyvio notice has been placed. NawlinWiki 15:30, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

A 41 year old article is not a copyright violation.ootsark.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Honeywellheating.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Honeywellheating.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Maryfielddannykaye.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Maryfielddannykaye.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
