[edit] Rest up!

I'm here to help...
I'm here to help...

Hey! I hear we have an injured editor in our midst. Fractured elbows + typing = not good! Don't worry about taking a break (or semi-break, I know leaving completely can cause more stress) to rest them up. If you want me to look after some stuff for you feel free to ask; my pages have all been (overly) quiet lately.
Get better soon! — Editor at Large(speak) 00:35, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Best wishes from me also. I'm a cyclist too--no injuries yet, knock on wood. I hope all is healed in time. --Fang Aili talk 17:44, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why uncited tag for Weikle ties?

Ken remarked on this on the message boards, as is noted in the paragraphs above the place where you inserted the uncited tag. Robert K S 12:10, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Belt picture

It looks like the revert war over the belt broke the picture, and the ECW guy reuploaded under a different filename. I'm guessing the only way to fix the issue is for your version to be deleted and to reupload it. Robert K S 13:59, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Did you have to do anything to fix it? Robert K S 16:44, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hangman

There is a new game of Hangman in progress. Nathannoblet 04:34, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
The last AC meeting (full log)
  • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
  • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
  • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
  • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
  • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.
Signed...

Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

[edit] Nico Martinez deletion

Did the deletion of Nico Martinez's Wikipedia page also result in the deletion of the picture of him, which was in use elsewhere on Wikipedia, viz., Jeopardy! College Championship? Robert K S 21:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you very very much for..

Thank you very very much for making Paria encyclopedic. It would certainly please my 10 yrs. old relative. I will ask him to see the change. Thank you once again. swadhyayee 13:01, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Student election pics

I think those can simply be deleted. Adam Bishop 18:00, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Christopher Holden AfD

You might want to chime in here. Robert K S 01:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kim Richard Nossal

While I appreciate the fact that you verify its existence, I still believe it warrants inclusion on his page. He has attested to its existence in class and it has rapidly become a major part of his relationship with the first year students. ----

[edit] Queen's University Chess Club

Do you want to nominate this again or should I? Maybe as a "non-quizzer," I'm more objective. </sarcasm> JChap2007 00:52, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Richard Brittain

I've been watching the AfD, but thanks for the message anyway. I'm not the anonymous IP, by the way. Seeing as no page other than Richard Brittain is actually tagged to this AfD discussion, can we just strike out the bundling comment, and continue the AfD just for Richard Brittain, considering the others seperately? Since the other articles were never formally nominated for AfD, I don't think striking the comment would be vandalism. If you think that's a bad idea though, we can always wait for an admin to sort it out, then try again with a fresh AfD. —Swpb talk contribs 19:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vehicular homicide AfD

I have nominated Vehicular homicide for deletion. You can comment on the subject at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vehicular homicide -- Donald Albury 17:16, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Could you please revert your last edit

Tony Dungy did not win a Super Bowl as an assistant coach. The achievement of Tom Flores and Mike Ditka involves a triple achievement - wins as a player, asst coach and head coach. Please see talkpage and also Dungy's article which correctly list his achievement. Ronbo76 04:49, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Ditto on reversing edit to Ditka's article. Ronbo76 04:50, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

The sports commentators are only mentioning them in terms of the dual achievement which is correctly listed on Dungy's article. The fact as listed on the other coaches' article is a more inclusive category or acheivement. Ronbo76 04:59, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use images aren't allowed in user pages

I found you are using the fair use images listed below on your user page. As per Rule #9 of the fair use image rules, you will need to remove those image. You can link to them, but not display them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

If you don't understand why this is nessecary, you can ask the administrator Durin. He is better at explaining the problem than I am. You could also go to the policy portion of the village pump and ask there.

The list

I will probably check back in a day or so to verify the images were either removed or converted into links. If you need help making the change, let me know. Will (Talk - contribs) 06:57, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:New Jeopardy! infobox

Did you mean the infobox or the succession box? I like the infobox, but I really don't think that a TV guide from the 70s is really necessary. Yes, I can start a discussion, but you know how to, too. I noticed that the person who added it had few edits and multiple were for the same thing, and the person who reverted mine seemed to be a sock. Reywas92Talk 01:38, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
