Onslaught (band)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Onslaught is a British thrash metal band, formed in 1983 by guitarist Nige Rockett and drummer Steve Grice. After three albums, they disbanded in 1991, but reformed in 2005. Their popularity really started to grow after releasing the second album, *The Force in 1986. But many hardcore fans were not happy with the way the third album turned out. The band wanted something fresh and new, and with the former Grim Reaper singer, they did just that - many new fans started to show up on their gigs, but they also lost many hardcore fans. The latest album (*Killing Peace) turned out to be quite good, despite the fact that Sy Keller no longer uses that mean and raw old school vocal lines.
