[edit] Congratulations

You got me while I was tired, and I fell for it all the way. I have been trolled. I have lost. I will have a nice day. --SPUI (talk) 21:43, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WP:AN/3RR

Nobody - Dante Alighieri screwed up an edit and duplicated a large section of the page. It's being fixed now. Noel (talk) 19:56, 17 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Norman Finkelstein

I wonder if you'd care to join the discussion at Talk:Norman Finkelstein regarding how his critique of From Time Immemorial was received. Your perspective would be most welcome. Jayjg (talk) 06:38, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Haw

Hi,

What does the word Haw mean in the text you added to Islam in Thailand? I believe the meaning you intend is not yet covered by the disambiguation page Haw.

[edit] Meedhoo in the Maldives

I saw that you did the original Maldives article, so I thought you might be willing to take a look at Meedhoo. It was an article I spotted on the new articles list, and it needed a lot of work. I've taken a good crack at it, but its not an area I know anything about. I toned down the extremely npov text that I started from, but I don't know how much the claims of the importance of its religious scholarship, in particular, are justified. [edit] RfC

Seeing that you've had some trouble with User:Mr Tan in the past, I thought you might like to contribute an opinion at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Mr Tan. - JMBell° 10:53, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Conspiracy theory vote

Please consider voting at:

Wikipedia:Conspiracy_theory

to rename articles that use the pejorative term "Conspiracy theory" to denigrate the content of the article.

Do the titles of WP articles generally pass partisan judgment on the subject under discussion? Should they? BrandonYusufToropov 02:24, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Just wanted to say that I appreciate your edits.

[edit] Atheist?

Calling yourself an atheist is a bad way of hiding the fact that you are an Islamic Fundamentalist. —This unsigned comment was added by 130.203.202.156 (talkcontribs) .

Possible vandalism. He faked the reason for the edit in the edit history as well. I wanted to notify you of this, and I want you to decide whether or not to keep or delete it. Kirbytime 20:45, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

I looked further into the IP and it seems to be registered to The Pennsylvania State University. So I definitely consider it vandalsim. Kirbytime 20:50, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] lots of edits, not an admin

Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. It looks like you're not active anymore, but if you come back and are at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list, although there is certainly no guarantee anyone will ever look at it. I've marked you on this list as "inactve". Feel free to update this as well. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) July 3, 2005 18:18 (UTC)

[edit] Umm al-Jimal

Hello. On Nov. 1, 2004 you wrote something on the Allah page about a Christian inscription using Allah. Can you give me your source? A friend of mine doesn't believe it--and he has been there. You can e-mail me from my user page.

EricK 21:38, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

I didn't write it OneGuy 05:34, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Where do I come from, I'm used in many wikimedia projects, and I don't want to go in the garbage bin.

I think this may be yours, and its aboput to be deleted because of no source. If you know where it came from, I would very much apreciate if you wrote that on its page. Thanks. Bawolff 19:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Papua, Indonesian province.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Papua, Indonesian province.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Papua, Indonesian province.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Papua, Indonesian province.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Angr 17:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Abbasid Provinces during the caliphate of Harun al-Rashid.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Abbasid Provinces during the caliphate of Harun al-Rashid.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 16:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
