Onega Bay

Onega Bay (Russian: Онежская губа, Онежский залив) is a bay of the White Sea in northwestern Russia, southwest of Arkhangelsk. Length: 185 km, width:50-100 km, depth: 16 m (average), 36 m (max).

Rivers Onega, Kem, Keret and Vyg flow into the bay. the bay has numerous islands, the largest and most famous being the Solovetsky Islands. On the west coast a town of Belomorsk is located and the outlet of the White Sea-Baltic Canal.
