One Act Operas:

The 20th century has created the many shorter operas that exist entirely in one act. Older productions written in the French Opera Tradition or Classical tradition require large expensive sets and thus large amount of support to produce. With the decline of funding for the arts and new technology like radio and television, One Act Operas have become a common form of composition.
