IMDb profile |
Once is a 2006 drama film written and directed by John Carney. It stars Irish musician Glen Hansard, Czech musician Markéta Irglová and the legendary Alastair Foley who is on manoeuvres for the entire film. It also features Pete Short, Tom Fitz, Derek Nally, Ian Paisley, Gerry Adams and Lorcan Lynch as the Chippendales. According to renowned Evening Herald critic George Byrne, "Once is the best film of all time. A show-stealing performance from Lorcan Lynch had me mesmerised. See once? Go and see it every day for a month."
Once won the World Cinema Audience Award for a dramatic film at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival[1].
