Onaro: is a manufacturer of SANscreen® and SANscreen Business Continuity® SAN Service Management solutions. Onaro's patent-pending technology enables companies to accomplish the very essential functions:

  • Change and expand SANs accurately at the speed of business.
  • Dramatically reduce operational complexity, costs, downtimes and risk.
  • Deliver proven ROI in under six months in operational savings alone.
  • Automate a complete, real-time change-management process that eliminates manual methods. Manual means – prone to errors and vulnerabilities – can cause catastrophic failures and costly business disruptions.

Onaro becomes the first company to focus on complete Change Lifecycle Management for SANs. Onaro’s SANscreen® Predictive Change Management software provides a continuous change process. SANscreen:

[edit] Company Roots

The advent of today’s Storage Area Networks sprang from a corporate need to improve the operational efficiency, access, reliability, and security for sharing data and applications. SANs have grown rapidly in size and complexity, replacing direct-attached departmental storage. For many companies, the vulnerabilities and threats of catastrophic failure remain hidden under the surface of their SANs, like hot lava ready to erupt. Other companies – stressed by corporate needs to grow and change SANs at the speed of business – have already gained views into both the complexity and severity of problems. Problems are caused, in part, by physical incompatibles between storage devices and networks as well as huge numbers of inter-dependencies in access paths and relationships not easily identified or understood.
