[edit] Plot

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

When Hannah Montana stays at the Tipton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, she befriends Maddie Fitzpatrick, who talks about the career Miley's father Robby had back in the day--he used to be a very famous country singer who went by Robby Ray. Miley thinks that her dad may have given up his dream to sing in order for her to pursue her own career. Miley calls his old manager (Richard Portnow) and he manages to get Robby Ray a gig. Her dad is skeptical at first, especially when Jackson hires pretty triplet nannies (Monika, Izabela, and Aleksandra Okapiec) to take care of him and Miley while their dad is away. When Miley shows him that Roxy, an ex-Marine Corps bodyguard, is here to babysit he finally agrees. However, Jackson and Miley have a tough time at home because Roxy won't let them out of her sight, is very restrictive, and makes them go jogging and do yoga. Finally Jackson has enough and leaves for San Diego, where his dad is on tour. Roxy and Miley end up following Jackson and watching the concert. Miley and Jackson go backstage where his manager says Robby Ray will be on tour for six weeks. Miley tries to be supportive but ends up crying as she leaves the room, because she misses him so much. Her dad after a long talk tells her that she is his dream more than singing and that he will not go on the tour. Then Maddie appears and is excited to see Robby Ray, but when she runs up to him she is chased off by Roxy. The episode ends with Miley, Robby, and Jackson singing, "I Want My Mullet Back," one of Robby Ray's songs.
