On the Air Live with Captain Midnight is a 1979 movie directed by Beverly Sebastian and Ferd Sebastian with Tracy Sebastian as Marvin Ziegler, aka Captain Midnight, who runs his own pirate radio station and become an underground cult hit.

Film was released in 1979 - although it was filmed in 1977.

Made by the Sebastian family - Beverly and Ferd. They are the same couple that created Gator Bait.

In most of their films their children appear. In Captain Midnight their son Tracy plays the lead part of Ziggy (aka Captain Midnight)

Film is about a teenager who has a super powerful CB radio in his van that allows him to take over the airwaves as a renegade dee-jay.

Veteran Los Angeles dee-jay Jim Ladd co-stars in the film as a dee-jay.

This rarely seen film has a strong cult following. Although there are many technical and storyline flaws, there is an undeniable charm about the film.

Available on DVD - although some of those copies appear to be bootlegged.
