[edit] Backround
By 1992, Rafferty's marriage was falling apart and his wife filed for divorce. Rafferty felt so saddened by what had happened to him that he felt he wanted to return to making music.[citation needed] The minor success of his latest albums was not deterring him from making another album. He asked his friend Joe Egan to guest on some of the album's songs. Most of the songs dealt with issues that Rafferty was dealing with, falling out of love and trying to get himself back on his feet. Some of the songs are regularly played on BBC Radio 2.
