[edit] Heroin
What are we supposed to see on the Mitch Hedberg talk page? --TheGrza 21:30, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)
- I was going to ask the author for some confirmation of Mitch Hedberg's heroin use, but the Chicago Sun-Times did the trick. Sorry for spreading confusion! --Omphaloscope 21:34, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Tina Howe
Hi! That "Tina Howe" article is greatly lacking content. Can you add any more to it? Single-sentence nanostubs are speedy deletion candidates. Take care. - Lucky 6.9 04:06, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] WOW
Haha that is freakin' sweet. I've unfortunately slowed my particpation on Wikipedia, but I still love the site. You're in fact probably the first *Internet* person that I know in real life. The snow is still sticking even up here - it looks unblievable. The trip home wasn't good (3 in the backseat+being in the middle = cramps) but the tournament was really cool. How did you do?--Etaonish 15:12, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright Examination Rejected
You requested a copyright examination regarding Wto leungkwokhung image. Sadly copyright examinations is not the right place for your request. The most common reason is that the content has already been added/uploaded to Wikipedia. Such cases (violations or not) are taken care of at Wikipedia:Copyright problems.
- If, after careful reading of the copyright examinations page, you still think it is the right place for your request, use the copyright examinations talk page to discuss the case.
- If you have problems trying to find the appropriate place for your request, consult the copyright problems talk page.
Your request will eventually be moved to List of requests which don't belong here on the copyright examinations page. Please try to find the right place for your request as soon as possible. We hope that your request will find the right place and get answered. --Easyas12c 00:57, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Billy_Collins.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Billy_Collins.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 05:19, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The New York Times
The New York Times is a self-described liberal newspaper: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D01E7D8173DF936A15754C0A9629C8B63. That is an article from its public editor answering the question. I added the political line. 206.15.101.253 20:46, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Ed
[edit] Joan
Not sure why you added the Maxwell's Silver Hammer reference; it was already in there, but I guess it adds emphasis

i extended my winning streak against you only to see my perfect streaks against lydia/david/columbia to all fall apart =(
and we didn't break anyway....i'll be damned if i ever trust tore+baia again =D--Etaonish 15:45, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
EDIT: And oh yes - damn Christine carried me. My 3 in your round was the only non-4 rank that I got. That's right, I got 4 4's and a 3 in your round. =( Plus your round was also my only 25+ score. Bah.
Look at it this way - at least you guys took out that damned Noah. Curse him and his lies.--Etaonish 18:49, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NY Times
An anonymous user is trying, yet again, to insert his "I-Don't-Care-What-Anyone-Else-Says-The-New-York-Times-Is-An-Evil-Liberal-Newspaper-They-Even-Admit-It-Nyah-Nyah-Nyah" rubbish into the article again. His tortured defense of this is one of the silliest I've seen in a while. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Eleemosynary 17:57, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
-
- Typical, running to an admin for help when you don't get your way. The above is a distorted, disingenious description of my edit. What is wrong with the word Liberal as a description of the Times' editorial page? IT is backed up by the company's own statements on a document on their website and is pretty much conventional wisdom among all but those who are for whatever reason embarassed by the word "Liberal". Don't misrepresent the edits of others and Assume Good Faith, please.

- Wow, so much ignorance in one paragraph. Please see the NYTIMES talk page for a thorough debunking of the anonymous vandal's conspiracy theories. Eleemosynary 19:30, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ypsi and trivia
Hmm, you're right, I misread the guideline a bit. Still, I have to think every random reference to Ypsilanti should be incorporated into the article. The yardstick that I use is: does it tell the reader something important about the subject of the article, or is it more about the subject of the trivia? So for instance, when I hear about a band with a record coming out, do I really read that as a fact about Ypsi, or a fact about the band? On that basis, I think both the Sufjan Stevens and the Blood-whatever Calligraphy bits are really non-starters as far as understanding Ypsi is concerned, whereas the compilation of songs by Ypsi bands has something to say about the music scene in Ypsi. Does that sound like a reasonable distinction? · rodii · 16:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ypsisongs is "music in Ypsilanti". Sufjan Stevens goes under "Ypsilanti in music". The inclusion of either of these adds value to the article. That's my yardstick. — Omphaloscope 17:49, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official Invitation to Join my WikiProject!
Hey Raff,
I know you're probably not very interested in my WikiProject, but I have created a WikiProject to help improve articles on defunct airlines. It can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Defunct Airlines. It is dedicated to the research of defunct airlines, particularly defunct regional airlines which served locations that no longer see airline service today, such as Dutchess County Airport in Poughkeepsie. I am sure you are laughing, but this is not very well covered on Wikipedia. It shall be a defunctolution! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jondude11 (talk • contribs) 07:14, 7 December 2006 (UTC).
