Olympia Hopsonidou (Greek: Ολυμπία Χοψονίδου) is a Greek model and beauty contestant. She won the Miss Star Hellas title, (Greek: Μις Σταρ Ελλάς), in April 2006 and went on to represent Greece at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant which was held in Los Angeles, California in July. The 1st runner-up to Miss Hellas is 22-year old Elena Asimakopoulou. She will compete in the Miss Europe 2006 pageant in France. [1][2].

Hopsonidou is the second of four children (2 boys and 2 girls); she considers the best aspects of her personality, her sense of humor, straightforwardness and her childlike approach to new things.

[edit] News

The Greek media is reporting that apparently Hopsonidou, who spent the better part of her coronation crying her eyes out in disbelief over her win, has since been asked to put on 5 kilograms (10 pounds) by September. Beauty experts now think she is too thin to represent in the Miss Universe 2007 competition.
