[edit] Tax rates in Sweden
Hi, Someone has added info on a 102% tax rate in Sweden to List_of_world_records#Money. Since you have written on the Swedish Economy, you may have knowledge to confirm or deny this. Can you take a look? --Rye1967 00:23, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- It refers to the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren who, as self employed, had to pay both regular income tax and employer's fees. The combination of the highest income tax rate and the social fees led to a marginal tax rate of 102% in 1976. This effect was most likely unintended. See also the article Pomperipossa in Monismania.
