Olivia Jane d'Abo (born January 22, 1969[1] in London, England) is a former child actress (aged 13?-17), and sometime singer, whose career has continued into adulthood. She has had numerous supporting roles, especially in science fiction, fantasy, and horror TV programs and movies, such as Star Trek: The Next Generation (1992), The Twilight Zone (2002), and Conan the Destroyer (1984).
As a teenager, d'Abo had the misfortune in 1984 of being given a Golden Raspberry Award nomination for "Worst New Star" for her work in both Conan the Destroyer and in Bolero, in which she did a controversial nude scene still while very young.
Her first recurring role of note was as "Karen Arnold" on The Wonder Years. This character was a hippy who later moved to Alaska with her husband. She was in the main cast of the show in the first four seasons before leaving to pursue other projects.
d'Abo is married to music producer and songwriter Patrick Leonard. She is a first cousin once removed of actress Maryam d'Abo, also noted for her science fiction and horror film work, and is the daughter of the model Maggie London and Mike d'Abo of the Manfred Mann band. She has two brothers, Benjamin d'Abo, the older, and Bruno, the younger [3]. She has one child, son Oliver William Leonard, born in 1996. She was notably engaged to actor Thomas Jane for several years. They worked in several projects together including "The Velocity of Gary" and "Jonni Nitro", in which Jane directed d'Abo. d'Abo also wrote and performed the title theme to "Jonni Nitro".
She appeared in the Broadway show "The Odd Couple" in 2005 with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane. In 2004, she released her first CD entitled "Turku", in which d'Abo wrote most of the songs herself. Other musical projects d'Abo has worked on includes: backing vocals for Julian Lennon's "Help Yourself", an acoustic duet version of Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer", produced by her husband Leonard, that appears on their "This Left Is Right" hits CD. [4] d'Abo also wrote the title track and background vocals for Latin singing star Laura Pausini's "Love Comes from the Inside".
To date, she has made four appearances on the TV crime drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Nicole Wallace, lead character Robert Goren's nemesis.
